First day 07/03/12 happy wed!
HOHO. We fly to cambodia! :) reached there about noon and we headed to have lunch at a local restaurant thr. ;)
After lunch we bus down to the chombok village and learnt to make the bamboo rice! And then dinner! Some campfire, and traditional dance and then we overnight at out homestay. I swear we all complained about the living conditions thr. But i stopped complaining cuz they live thr everyday leh! We were only thr for one night.. still, we got to know how fortunate we are after the homestay. I cant sleep well. The pig and the roosters/chicken keel making noises.. dogs barking. And the woodpecker literally keep knocking kn the rooftop went we were sleeping. There was ants on the mattress, beetles on the floor. And damn dark outside, toilet got limited tissue. It was scary but it was really fun. The villagers were soooo friendly. Love them! But still we managed to sleep and wake up the next morning.
Second day 08/03/12 thurs!
Woohoo. Woke up, wash up, luggage packed, went back to the breakfast area! Had breakfast and bid farewell to the villagers, sobs. Then headed to chombok primary schl. Ah my fav place. Hehe filled w children surrounding us. Cutie pies, we went into their classroom and conduct our handicraft activity. My group did puppet w them. They were happpy la, overall. :) i chose to sit beside two boys, they were extremely shy, idk how to communicate because they dont speak english.. i tried using hand language hahaha i think thwy understand. But well i think huilin is more bonded w her buddies. :( jealous. Haha! Jerwayne, suzy, shaqqil, ryan, hilmi, and others became teachers teaching maths and el. Haha damn funny. We brought them out to thw open area for games. And our group was so noisy so fun so hyper. We played the eagle catch the hen(?) And london bridge is falling down! They are all cutie pies. Love! Their classroom was very small. Smaller than sg's. But the people studying inside was far more than sg.. in one classroom. 3 or even 4 w as sharing a rectangular table. :(
After the pri schl, we went to have lunch at the woman group centre whr the man or the boys are supposed to serve the woman.. but we all just went to take out food ourselves. We transfered back to phnom penh and transfer to dinner before we overnight at salita hotel! So comfortable. It was all good. Haha mu en they all sneaked into our room to play~ haha lol.
Third day 09/03/12 friday!
Breakfast in the hotel. ^^ we went to the killing field of cheung ek. It was a place whr alot of peeps were killed and buried after the tortore in toul sleng. We also went to the museum of genocidal crimes where we met two survivors from the s.21. They were tortured under polpot people. But bou meng, one of the survivor, (i bought his book!) Survived because he was an artist! And he helped to draw.. so i can only say polpot tortuing was damn cruel. Thwy can kill a baby like shooting a bird. Like trying to smash open a durian and they killed them in front of their mothers. Throwing them up in the sky and shoot, smashing them into trees. OMG. Damn heartaching, after that We visited the russian market whr i bought my shades, my pencil case, souvenirs, lots of stuffs. Hehe russian market is cheappppp! And then we went for lunch, then 6hrs bus ride to siem reap. O~ siem reap is somehow a lil more city city feeling. A bit more advanced like more buildings, more houses. Overnight at apsara holiday hotel! B.e.s.t because there are much more facilities, its like fanily family feel due to the dim lights. Hehehe romantic much. And of course went to slack w mu en, sijia, huilin, valerie, and huiling. Huiling overnight as t my room cause they were all scared, im too. Lol, when we were bathing half way, theres was a blackout. Haha omfg, we screamed like mad. And was so crazy. Huiling was bathing halfway ans she ran out. I was blowing my hair infront of the MIRROR and i shut my eyes immediately lol. But it was the whole phnom penh and siem reap that got the blackout not only the hotel~
Fourth day 10/03/12 sat!
Yayyy. We went to one of the world most famous historical tourist attraction, angkor wat! Angkor wat temple, ta prohm temple and bayon temple! We get to sit on the ox-cart to visit the ta prohm temple and i saw the ox shitting. It was so damn near me, i freak out. And when we were reaching out ox suddenly start chasing another ox and the cart was shaking and me amanda jerwayne was like shouting. And nearly burst out crying haha. Suzy's ox cart fell. And they was damn scared lol. Lunch and visited the rest of the temples, buffet dinner at the hotel and and and NIGHT MARKET! our class actually visited thr on day 3, but we got v less time to shop, so we all went crazy on day 4. Hahaha. Bought alot of things. Happy die. Bought clothes for the baby! Haha angry bird and elephant. ^^ boughy clothes for myself, accessories for my self, cousins etc. I should buy more shirts lor. Its so cheap about 2.5USD for a tanktop and shirt and the material is good ok!
